First day of CSMP! Thank you God for this opportunity and for everything, even the every day things like waking me up on time, letting me have time to worship and pray with the team, for people you placed, and for encouragement and strength. Standing firm!

Love never gives up.

Love cares more for others than for self.
Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have.
Love doesn’t strut,
Doesn’t have a swelled head,
Doesn’t force itself on others,
Isn’t always “me first,”
Doesn’t fly off the handle,
Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others,
Doesn’t revel when others grovel,
Takes pleasure in the flowering of truth,
Puts up with anything,
Trusts God always,
Always looks for the best,
Never looks back,
But keeps going to the end.

But for right now, until that completeness, we have three things to do to lead us toward that consummation: Trust steadily in God, hope unswervingly, love extravagantly. And the best of the three is love.

The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest (Exodus 14:14, AMP.)

In life, we’re always going to have critics. We’ll always have difficult people who try to upset us and steal our peace and joy. But, you don’t have to respond to every critic. You can decide to take the high road and let God fight your battles for you.

Sometimes, no matter what you say or do, there are people who aren’t going to accept you. They just don’t want to be at peace with you. In fact, when Jesus sent out His disciples to certain homes, He told them to always speak peace over those homes. And then He said in effect, “If they don’t receive the peace that you’re offering, then it will come back to you.” That tells me that if you will do your best to be at peace with people, even if they won’t take your peace, the good news is that peace will just come back to you. You’ll not only get your peace, but you’ll get their share as well! That’s double for your trouble! When you do the right thing no matter what is happening, God sees it and rewards it. Today, stay in peace, cease from strife, and take the high road. Sow good seeds into others and watch the harvest of blessing come to your own life in return.

Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you (1 Peter 5:7, NLT.)

God desires to take care of whatever may be concerning you today. He invites you to give your worries and cares to Him simply because He loves you!

How do you give Him your cares? First of all, understand that cares show up in your mind. When negative, self-defeating thoughts of worry come, you have to recognize them as cares and replace them with the Word of God. For example, if you are concerned about a need today, say out loud, “My God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory.” If you have fear about something, say out loud, “God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.” If you have sickness in your body, declare, “By His stripes I am healed.” As you meditate on the truth and focus your heart and mind on the Father, those cares and concerns will disappear.

Then, thank Him for giving you peace and joy. Thank Him for working in your life. As you keep an attitude of faith and expectancy, give Him your worries and cares and get ready for the blessing He has for your future!

If you have legal disputes about such matters, why go to outside judges who are not respected by the church? I am saying this to shame you. Even to have such lawsuits with one another is a defeat for you. Why not just accept the injustice and leave it at that? Why not let yourselves be cheated? (NLT)

What is this world if it isn’t lived for God? Living a life that isn’t revolved around God feels empty, purposeless, scary, and hopeless. Friendships feel shaky because it is not rooted in God. Classes seem useless and frustrating. The future is unsure and a headache to think about. Feeling trapped and bondage to lies and insecurities. Why would this life without God be chosen and God promises us so much greater things. Yes, the road is definitely not easy, but it is so worth it. This year has been a year of testings and struggles, but at the end, I can say that living for God is worth it. Living for a God who constantly holds on to me and never gives up even when I run away. A God who is so loving that His love cannot be contained. A God who gives peace and grace when I don’t deserve it at all. How can God be traded in for anything in this world? He can’t. That’s why I say, it is worth it to be that living sacrifice for Him. It is all worth it.
